Job Description

Lough Neagh Nursing Home is a recently refurbished family run care home situated on the shores of Lough Neagh. Our 26 bed nursing home comprises of general nursing and a small dementia nursing unit.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Nurse Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the care home.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily nursing operations and manage staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Complete patient assessments and care plans, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards. Facilitate communication between healthcare teams, patients, and families to promote optimal care. Manage staffing schedules and training for personnel, including specialized areas such as hospice and dementia care. Ensuring RQIA compliance Manage budgets and the financial effectiveness of the care home Recruit, train and manage staff

Requirements:

A registered nurse with current registration on Part 1 of the NMC Register A minimum of 5 years experience managing a nursing home Strong knowledge of Care Industry and regulatory Framework Good knowledge of Health and Safety Care Act 2008 Great leadership and organisational skills Ability to develop and motivate team Ability to delegate and prioritise Affective time management and good record keeping Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a true compassion for others Stable Work History
