We are looking for a passionate and experienced

Third in Charge

to join our team at Playful Pandas Nursery. As a key member of the nursery leadership team, you will support the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager in ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding for children. This role is ideal for an experienced Room Leader looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Support:

Act as a senior member of the team, stepping up in the absence of the Manager and Deputy Manager. Lead and support staff in delivering a high-quality curriculum aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to staff to maintain best practices in childcare.

Childcare & Education:

Ensure all children receive the highest standard of care and education in a safe, stimulating environment. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Monitor and track children's progress, working closely with parents and external agencies when needed.

Safeguarding & Compliance:

Ensure all safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times. Maintain health and safety standards, conducting regular risk assessments. Support the team in meeting OFSTED regulations and maintaining high inspection outcomes.

Parent Partnership & Communication:

Build strong, positive relationships with parents, providing regular updates on their child's development. Address any concerns professionally and effectively. Organize and participate in parents' evenings and nursery events.

Requirements:

Level 3 or above in Early Years Education (or equivalent). Proven experience in a senior nursery role (Room Leader or similar). Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and OFSTED requirements. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Passionate about childcare with a commitment to delivering high standards.

Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year
