We are looking for a senior member of staff to work as 3rd in charge manager to promote high standards of care and practice. The successful candidate will be required to have experience working in the early years sector for a number of years leading a team; promoting high standards of care and education.
You will be responsible to work closely with the management driving quality and change. Part of this role you will be expected to lead the team of staff across all rooms; taking the lead ensuring all requirements of the EYFS are in place. You will also take on additional roles, working closely with the manager implementing best practice, supporting staff in their role, working with other professionals and parents.

Duties and responsibilities: To contribute to a programme of activity suitable to the age range of children in your area in conjunction with the recommended government curriculum. Work alongside parents of special and additional needs children to give full integration in the setting Support all staff and engage in a good staff team Liaise with and support parents and other family members To attend further training when necessary to meet all areas of the job description To attend ALL out of working hours activities such as training sessions, meetings, open days . To be flexible within working practices of the setting. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the setting such as preparation of snacks and meals, cleaning if equipment. Work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the philosophy behind the project is fulfilled. Recording accidents on individual sheets Look upon the setting as a 'whole' where can you help be most utilised, be constantly aware of the needs of children. Ensure child is collected by someone known to the setting. To respect the confidentiality of information received. To develop your role within the team especially with regard as a key worker Specific child care tasks The preparation and completion of activities to suit the child's stage of development linking to their development matters overview. To ensure meal times are a time of pleasant social sharing Washing and changing children as required, keeping an accurate record of relevant details Providing comfort and warmth to an ill child and ensure the appropriate action is taken To ensure the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds, and stages of development To be aware of the high profile of the setting and to uphold its standards at all times
