Job Overview


Whilst the position will predominantly support the Manager with administration tasks, there will be a requirement to provide assistance to the nursery as a whole to support the organisation and its business needs.

Good organisational skills with an ability to prioritise

Excellent communication skills

Empathy with parents and their role as carers and educators

Understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas

Good computer skills and a willingness to learn new software programmes used at the nursery

Strong literacy skills

Flexible approach and friendly personality

Dealing with telephone calls and general queries

Organising & updating children's personal files (office files and EY)

Uploading information onto NAMS Council programme

Organising main Reception area and parents information/files

Ordering stationery;

Liaising with staff on aspects such as uniforms; resources; etc. as required (including placing orders)

Ensuring staff files are updated for holidays; absence; training, etc.

General typing and admin support

Keeping on top of maintenance issues

Additional support with nursery activities e.g. Open Day; BBQ; Parents Evenings

Taking minutes from evening staff meetings

Financial tasks such s invoicing and accounts.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 15,288.00-15,350.00 per year

Expected hours: 24 per week

Work Location: In person
