This position is term time only. Nursery Assistant / After School Care Assistant, Part-Time ( 40 hours per week) 36 weeks per year. 8.30am-5.15pm - Monday to Friday (includes 30 minutes lunch and 15 minute unpaid breaks each day).

Duties
Take on the role of Key Person after an initial induction period. Be responsible for a small group of children, including writing observations, assessing and planning for the next stages of children's development
Assist in the planning and implementation of appropriate experiences for the children, both indoors and outdoors, to meet the learning and development requirements of the EYFS Statutory Framework
Take shared responsibility for standards of safety, security, hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness throughout Nursery
Implement policies and procedures to ensure the welfare requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework are met, especially having a good understanding of the correct procedures to follow in the case of any child protection concerns
Meet children's personal and intimate care toileting needs.
Treat all staff, children and parents with courtesy and respect at all times
Take an active role in the pastoral care of the children, reporting any concerns to the Nursery Manager.
Attend INSET sessions, either as whole school training or individually for professional development
After School Care Main Duties:
Plan, prepare activities and keep the after school care area tidy.
Supervise children for the duration of their time in ASC, ensuring they are safe.
Maintain a register of children attending.
Help serve and clear tea and support constructive play and pupil leisure time.
Ensure the collection of children is by an authorised adult.
Perform any other task the Nursery Manager or Head may reasonably direct.
Observe children as they play and use these observations to inform future planning.
Tidy classroom at the end of each session.
