The Arches Nursery is looking to recruit an experienced and passionate Room Leader/ Assistant Deputy Manager.

The Arches Nursery is housed under two small railway arches, set in the vibrant East End and only a stone's throw away from Epping Forest. We're open 48 weeks of the year, Monday to Friday from 8am - 5.45pm.

Room Leader/Assistant Deputy Manager



What you'll be doing:



Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education Ensure a learning environment that provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for all children, across the nursery for both the indoor and outdoor provision. Demonstrate best practice 'on the floor', leading by example and setting the standards for the nursery. Ensure the nursery is orderly, clean and presentable at all times. Plan and deliver rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones Develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding. Work with colleagues to deliver our curriculum, vision, and ethos and maintain a positive, happy and safe environment. Work closely with the management team and proactively contribute new ideas and develop strategies and approaches to support and enhance the nursery environment.

What you will need to bring with you:



Previous experience as a Room Leader Minimum Level 3 qualification Must have strong passion for teaching, with a solid understanding of both the EYFS and knowledge of the Montessori philosophy. Be a positive and inspiring role model with strong communication skills, and the ability to lead a team and approach difficult conversations. You must be honest, trustworthy and able to manage problems constructively. Self-starter with a positive outlook, high energy, solutions driven with a 'make it happen' attitude. A commitment to reflective practice and continual professional development.
