We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, nurturing nursery setting that is looking to appoint a dedicated and reliable Nursery Assistant with a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early years education and child safety, looking to contribute to a warm, child-focused team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

? Support children aged [e.g., 0-5 years] across a range of daily activities, promoting learning through play and structured routines

? Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment for all children

? Provide personal care when needed (feeding, changing, toileting) in a respectful and supportive manner

? Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, including during outdoor play, mealtimes, and outings

? Respond calmly and effectively to accidents or medical needs using Paediatric First Aid training

? Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework in all aspects of practice

? Work closely with other staff, parents, and carers to ensure consistent support and communication

Person Specification:

Essential:

? Valid

Paediatric First Aid

certificate (in line with Ofsted requirements)

? Genuine passion for working with children in an early years setting

? Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when required

? Good communication and interpersonal skills

? Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to obtain one)

? Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

? Previous nursery or childcare experience (paid or voluntary)

? Level 2 or 3 in Early Years Education or equivalent (preferred but not essential)

? Safeguarding or child protection training
