Job Summary

The Nursery Room Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This role involves managing staff, developing educational programmes, and fostering positive relationships with children and their families. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong ability to lead and inspire a team.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the nursery team to provide high-quality childcare and education. Develop and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's learning and development. Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and any incidents that occur. Support staff in their professional development through training and mentoring. Collaborate with other professionals to enhance the nursery's educational offerings. Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Proven experience in early childhood education or childcare settings. Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Knowledge of nursery operations and best practices in childcare. Ability to engage with children aged 0-5 years positively. Experience working with children in various capacities is highly desirable. A valid driving licence may be beneficial for transporting materials or attending off-site events.
