Puffins Preschool and Day Nursery is a family-run company in Windlesham.

Puffin's Preschool and Day Nursery, Windlesham are looking for reliable, passionate and motivated Early Years Practitioners to join our friendly team.

Skills, qualities and qualifications:

- Completion of a recognised Childcare qualification to a minimum of Level 2 is preferable, but not compulsory.

- A positive approach to gaining further training.

- Some understanding of the importance of safeguarding, health and safety and food hygiene in the workplace, and must be willing to attend training courses in this area.

- An up to date Paediatric First Aid course, or willingness to attend such course.

- Previous experience of caring for or working with children aged 0-5 years in a paid or voluntary capacity.

- An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

- A commitment to the provision of high-quality childcare.

- A positive approach to learning and gaining new skills through teamwork and on-going training opportunities.

- Good written and verbal skills for observations and planning for key children, and excellent communication skills with children, team members and parents and carers.

- Good organisational, record keeping and planning skills.

- Punctuality, patience, reliability and trustworthiness.

- Enthusiasm for working with young children.

- Flexibility; from time to time you may be required to attend team meetings, open days or parent's evenings that are held out of normal working hours.

- Positive approach to inclusive practice with children and other team members.

- Opportunities for Forest School and SENCO training.

Pay: Up to 12.50 per hour
