We are seeking a talented and passionate cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. As a cook, you will play a crucial role in creating exciting dining experiences for our children age 0-5 years, while leading and managing the kitchen staff.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the nurseries' menu and standards.
Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Monitor food presentation and quality before serving to ensure consistency and excellence.
Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment, ensuring it is in good working order at all times.
Experience
Food preparation experience as a cook or in a similar culinary role.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Excellent communication skills to effectively lead the kitchen team and collaborate with others.
