Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Nursery cook to join our team. We are looking for someone from Monday through to Friday 8am-1pm. However, the hours can be negotiable. You will be required to prepare meals and snacks for up to 60 children each day and to keep a clean and hygienic Kitchen environment when preparing and cooking meals for our children. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a school or nursery kitchen environment and is used to cooking for various dietary requirements. It would also be preferable that the candidates have knowledge and/ or experience of Environmental Health, in particular the Safer Food Better Business requirements. Training can be provided, however, candidates must hold a full and relevant food hygiene certificate. Training can be provided for the right candidate if an update is required.

Salary: Up to 12.50 per hour

Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner Follow recipes and presentation specifications Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment Restock items as needed throughout the shift Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards
