Headstart Nursery, Upton, Chester. CH2 1HX

Hours:

Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children aged 6 months to 5 years Ensure all meals meet dietary, allergy, and nutritional requirements Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety (in line with food hygiene regulations) Manage kitchen supplies and ensure proper stock rotation Keep accurate records of food preparation and cleaning schedules

Requirements:

Experience working as a cook in a nursery, school, or similar setting Food Hygiene Level 2 or above (essential) Knowledge of allergies, dietary requirements, and portion control for children A warm, reliable, and organised approach Ability to work independently and as part of a team
