Nursery Cook
to join our team and play a vital role in the daily life of our nursery.
The Role:
As our Nursery Cook, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, balanced meals and snacks for children aged [9 months to 4 years], taking into account dietary requirements, allergies, and individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan weekly menus in line with healthy eating guidelines
Prepare and cook lunch and snacks for children daily
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene in the kitchen
Manage food stock and place orders as needed
Record temperatures and complete food safety documentation
Work closely with nursery staff to understand children's dietary needs
What We're Looking For:
Ideally some experience required but not necessary as training will be provided
Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for young children
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
A warm, caring nature and the ability to work independently
An understanding of food allergies and intolerance management
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
