We are seeking an organised and passionate Cook to join our kitchen, the heart of our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a background in catering, with experience in food preparation and meal preparation within a kitchen environment, ideally hvaing experience in preparing meals for children and allergy awareness. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dishes, nutritious meals while ensuring food safety standards are met. Your working hours would be Monday - Friday 9.00 - 2.00, perfect for school hours.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Assist in the planning and preparation of meals, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and of high quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management for reordering. Ensure stock rotation and organisation
Ensure allergy requirements are catered to accordingly
Qualifications
Experience as a Cook in a kitchen environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices, and meal preparation methods.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that are child friendly
