Job Description

We are recruiting a nursery cook to join our friendly team.

The working hours are 35 hours per week, from Monday - Friday.

Our nursery opening hours are from 7.30-6pm. The shift we are proposing are between the hours of 7.30-4pm.

Preparing meals for up to 65 children per day.

The successful candidate must be able to prepare a variety of home cooked meals following our weekly menus, providing a well balanced diet for all children following our healthy eating initiatives.

We have a fully functional kitchen onsite. We expect the candidate to prepare meals for young children and have knowledge of catering for babies, as well as a range of dietary requirements and allergies.

The role will include completing documentation using Better Food, Safer Business and maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the kitchen. Meeting standards and maintaining our 5 star environmental health award.

The role also includes updating menus, creating menus for special events and festivals and overall management of the kitchen.

All candidates must have Food Hygiene training or be prepared to carry out any essential training to support professional development and any mandatory training required. We will provide any relevant training as required.

The position is also subject to DBS checks and being registered on the update service. This can be completed before start date if necessary.

Previous experience is preferred.

Pay: From 22,331.40 per year
