Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Nursery Cook. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering high-quality meals to our children. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with an emphasis on food safety and culinary excellence.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Assist in meal preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods. Contribute to menu development by suggesting new dishes or improvements based on customer feedback. Serve meals promptly and courteously, ensuring an excellent dining experience for guests. Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation or cooking within a professional kitchen environment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.

Pay: 12.25-13.95 per hour
