Nursery cook required from 09.00 - 17.00 Monday to Friday all year round.

We are a successful Nursery and Preschool in the village of Witham st Hughs in between Newark & Lincoln just off A46 Bypass. We provide high quality childcare for children under the age of 5 years. We are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Nursery Cook to join our growing team.

The role is for 51 weeks of the year.

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties of the Cook (Nursery):

Following a set 4 week menu.

Provide all children with nutritional meals on a regular basis, considering children with allergies and special dietary requirements Ensure all health and safety and environmental health standards are met Monitor, record and maintain correct food storage temperatures. Make sure all cooked foods for storage for later consumption are chilled correctly Maintain high standards of cleanliness within the kitchen and to ensure that all appliances and equipment are regularly and thoroughly cleaned and that dates of cleaning are recorded. Work with management to plan healthy and balanced menus

Qualifications and Skills

Requirements of the Cook (Nursery):

Have experience in a similar work environment Hold a relevant Food Safety Level 2 qualification, or higher Have 'Safer Food Better Business' knowledge and experience Have ''Eat Better, Start Better'' knowledge Hold a valid and clear enhanced DBS Disclosure and be registered on the DBS Update Service (or be prepared to gain this) Have experience with menu planning, drafting recipes and ordering ingredients Have good spoken and written English skills Have high standards of personal hygiene
