We're on the lookout for a Nursery Cook to join our friendly and growing team. Our brand-new nursery opened in January 2025 and is already thriving -- offering a vibrant, engaging, and child-led environment for children aged 3 months to 11 years.

Owned by two passionate, qualified teachers and led by an experienced manager, our nursery combines a purpose-built setting, excellent outdoor space, and a strong commitment to imaginative early years education.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys cooking nutritious meals for young children in a friendly, homely environment.

About the Role:

Prepare and serve healthy, balanced lunches for children aged 0-5.

Ensure meals meet dietary requirements and allergy needs.

Maintain excellent hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.

Work closely with the nursery team to plan menus and mealtimes.

Take responsibility for cleaning the kitchen and food preparation areas.

What We're Looking For:

Experience in a cooking or kitchen role (nursery or school setting is a bonus).

A passion for healthy eating and child nutrition.

Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Organised, punctual, and able to work independently.

Friendly, flexible, and a team player.

Important:

This is an all-year-round role (not term-time only).

Holidays must be taken during school term time, as we buy in meals from the local school whilst the cook is on annual leave. Annual leave must also be used between Christmas and New Year when we are closed.
