Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are ready for use. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Provide excellent service by responding to customer inquiries regarding menu items.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a restaurant environment. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective teamwork.
