Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Nursery cook. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in food preparation and cooking, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Nursery cook will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to the overall success of our kitchen operations.

Duties

preparation of ingredients and meals according to established recipes and standards. Cook and present dishes in an appealing manner, ensuring high quality and consistency. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Lead with various tasks, including inventory management and stock rotation. Participate in menu planning and development by providing input based on culinary trends and customer feedback. Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained properly. Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and efficiency.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen setting is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with food preparation techniques. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and presentation styles. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance within the kitchen environment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. A passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business needs.

Pay: 12.21 per hour
