We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic and reliable

Nursery Cook

to join our friendly team at Killamarsh Village Day Nursery. You'll play a key role in preparing and serving nutritious, home-cooked meals for children aged 0-5, helping to support their growth and development with a healthy, balanced diet.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare fresh, healthy meals and snacks in line with dietary needs and preferences Ensure all meals meet food safety, allergy and nutritional requirements Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to hygiene and health & safety regulations Manage food stock levels and place orders when needed Work alongside the nursery team to promote healthy eating habits in young children

About You:

Previous experience cooking in a professional or childcare setting (preferred but not essential) Knowledge of food hygiene and safety (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate desirable) Confident in managing dietary requirements, allergies, and portion control Organised, proactive, and able to work independently Friendly, approachable, and passionate about providing high-quality meals for young children
