Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assist in the planning and preparation of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, ensuring all work areas are hygienic and safe. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and available. Follow food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure quality control throughout the cooking process. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and timely service during busy periods. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Skills

Proficient in food preparation techniques, with a solid understanding of culinary methods. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, demonstrating the ability to operate them safely and effectively. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene in the kitchen environment. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting. Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members.
