We are seeking a passionate Cook to join our Nursery team. The ideal candidate will have a background in food preparation , with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that delight our children while ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assist in the planning and preparation of meals, ensuring all food is prepared in a timely manner. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs for reordering. Participate in menu development and suggest new dishes based on seasonal ingredients or trends.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
