INTERIM NURSERY DEPUTY MANAGER *

INTERIM Nursery Deputy Manager (maternity cover)

First Steps Nursery is located near the centre of Salisbury and is a building of character and charm. We aim to create a welcoming, calm and nurturing environment in which the children have the freedom to learn, play and explore. Our dedicated team strives to provide excellence in care for children aged 0-5, in an environment that is stimulating and positive for all.

We are looking for a motivated and passionate individual to join our leadership team to help manage the nursery as maternity cover.

The Deputy Manager will play an integral part in leading our staff and enhancing the overall nursery experience. You will need to have experience in a leadership position and you will be supporting the Nursery Manager and in their absence stepping up to lead the setting. You will be supported by an experienced Management Team to provide a safe and stimulating environment for the children in our care.

You will need to be well organised, confident and have the ability to confidently lead a team and listen to others and their ideas. Excellent communication skills are a must along with extensive knowledge of the EYFS and an understanding of Ofsted requirements.

You would work 8am-6pm over 4 days. We of course require you to hold a childcare qualification at least equivalent to a level 3 and have secure knowledge in all matters of safeguarding. Experience in SEND would also be beneficial.
