At St. George's Nursery, we've been offering exceptional early years education across the East Midlands for over 30 years. With a welcoming, family-led ethos and a reputation for excellence, we are proud to be opening a brand-new nursery in Nottinghamshire in Summer 2025 - and we're seeking an experienced, passionate Deputy Manager to help guide it from the ground up.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new setting with remarkable facilities and a genuinely supportive leadership team. This is the former Applegarth Day Nursery.
A Truly Special Nursery:
This new setting has been carefully crafted to spark curiosity and imagination, with features including:
A generous nature garden and inspiring outdoor learning zones

A private staff training and wellbeing area
You'll be part of shaping something truly meaningful for the local community.
The Role:
As Deputy Manager, you'll work closely with the Nursery Manager and Head Office team to support the launch and daily leadership of the nursery. You'll lead on practice and compliance, champion staff development, and step in during the Manager's absence.
This is a perfect opportunity for:
An experienced Deputy Manager ready for a refreshing new challenge
OR a capable Nursery Manager looking for a senior role in a brand-new setting with strong support
You'll Be Supported By:
An experienced Nursery Manager
A proactive Senior Management Team
Our Operations, Marketing, Accounts, and Maintenance teams at Head Office
Reliable systems and a collaborative, team-oriented culture
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional care, education, and safeguarding across the setting
Inspire, coach, and support your team to thrive
Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families

Experience in a Deputy or Manager role within a nursery environment
Confident knowledge of the EYFS, Ofsted and safeguarding
Strong leadership qualities, with a calm, proactive attitude
Enthusiasm for early childhood education and a drive for excellence
Ready to Build Something Special?
If you're an experienced early years leader looking to make your mark in a brand-new setting -- while being fully supported every step of the way -- we'd love to hear from you!
