Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Deputy Manager / Pre-School Leader to join our friendly and supportive team at Blossoms Day Nursery. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in providing high-quality early education and care within a nurturing environment. This role will be a hybrid of room and office based and will also cover the manager's responsibilities in their absence, providing essential support to ensure the smooth running of our nursery. As Deputy Manager / Pre-School Leader, you will:



Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery. Lead the pre-school room, ensuring outstanding practice and high-quality teaching. Promote a positive, engaging learning environment in line with the EYFS. Supervise and mentor staff, supporting their professional growth. Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and the wider community. Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety, and Ofsted requirements are met. Act as the Nursery Manager during periods of absence, taking full responsibility for operations, decision-making, and staff management.

We're looking for someone who is:



Level 3 qualified (or above) in Early Years Childcare and Education (essential). Experienced in leading a team within a nursery or pre-school setting. Confident in implementing the EYFS and supporting children's learning journeys. Warm, caring, and approachable, with excellent communication skills. Organised, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage, inspire, and support a team.
