Duties
Provide strategic leadership and oversee the overall management of the childcare centre
Develop and implement policies and programmes aligned with early childhood education standards
Supervise staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and health and safety standards
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and the wider community
Organise activities that promote children's learning, development, and socialisation
Manage administrative tasks such as budgeting, record keeping, and reporting
Lead initiatives to improve service quality and centre reputation
Maintain open communication channels with staff, parents, and external agencies
Requirements
Proven management and leadership experience within childcare or nursery settings
Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
Prior experience working with children is essential; nursery experience is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Valid driving licence for transportation purposes if required by the role
Passionate about child development and committed to creating a safe, inclusive environment for all children

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
