The role of the Nursery Housekeeper is to ensure the Nursery environment is safe, clean, tidy and all professional standards are maintained.

Responsibilities:
Organising nursery laundry in line with the nursery's routine
Cleaning of communal areas to ensure that the nursery environment is safe, clean, tidy and professional standards are maintained
Taking responsibility for the health and safety of themselves and others, adhering to organisations policies and procedures and having an awareness of safeguarding children.
Having high regard for the importance of the nursery environment, resources, safety and hygiene and adhering to COSSH datasheets for cleaning materials.
Completing accurate cleaning records.
Managing stock levels of cleaning materials and consumables and working with the management team on ordering resources.
Supporting the Food Champion to deliver healthy nutritious meals to our children and maintain a clean kitchen environment which meets environmental health standards.
Supporting the nursery team to deliver outstanding care and education in line with our mission and values.
Requirements:
You will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check, funded by Seymour House, to share in our commitment to safeguarding children. An enhanced check is completed and regularly updated through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
This post is classed as having a high degree of contact with children and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
