Nursery Kitchen Assistant/cook
Job Description
Kitchen Assistant required to assist the Nursery Chef in preparing healthy, nutritious meals, maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen, ensuring compliance with environmental health standards. You will need an awareness in accommodating allergies and special dietary requirements for all children's meals in our busy Nursery. Monday to Friday - 9am to 4pm. No Weekend work!
Duties to include mainly Food preparation and serving. Additional duties will be cleaning the kitchen after service, and some washing up.
Opportunities to collaborate with children and the nursery team in snack-making and simple baking activities.
Some cooking required in the absence of the Nursery Chef to cover holidays/sickness.
Food Hygiene Level 2, and Allergy awareness training will be provided.
You will need:
Catering experience, preferably in a similar environment.
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. training can be provided.
Knowledge of food preparation for special dietary needs. Training can be provided.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 9 months
Pay: From 12.80 per hour
