Based in the seaside town of Penarth, we are a well-established, independent nursery, proud of our local reputation for providing high quality child care and education. For our children aged 3-6, we offer full and part-time places as well as wraparound services to a range of local schools and nurseries in our pre-school group, Kingfishers.

As a result of an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and well qualified Pre-school Senior Practitioner to support the Lead Practitioner in leading our busy pre-school group and to deputise in their absence.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant level 3 qualification or above in teaching, supporting teaching and learning or childcare and have excellent communication skills, creativity, energy and the commitment to ensure the best possible experience for for our children.

They will also be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills: to be a role model for other staff, able to work on their initiative and to motivate others, with the drive and ability to help develop practice in our pre-school.

We are open between the hours of 7.30am and 6pm Monday-Friday, so the successful candidate will need to be available during these times.

Salary, based on a 40-hour week:

27,800 p/a, or 13.41 p/h, based on a 40-hour week, with further uplifts available for additional responsibilities, e.g. ALNCO.
