About Our Nursery

Goldilocks Nursery Ashford opened in 2017 and is conveniently located near the town centre. We provide a caring and stimulating environment for up to 58 children aged from 3 months to 5 years. Our team of 19 passionate and experienced staff are dedicated to offering the very best in early years care and education.

Job Overview

We are excited to welcome a warm and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our friendly early years setting in Ashford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed childcare professional to join a supportive team and help create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Duties

Oversee the effective daily running of the nursery Lead, support, and develop a team of early years staff , promoting a collaborative and positive work environment. Ensure all children are safeguarded and their welfare promoted Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and other necessary documentation. Maintain excellent communication with parents and carers Ensure compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, and all relevant legislation Manage budgets, occupancy, and staff rotas efficiently Ensure that the nursery is a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for all children in care.

Experience

Level 3 or above in Early Years Education and Childcare (or equivalent) - Essential At least 2 years' experience in a leadership or deputy management role within an early years setting Strong knowledge of the EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding policies Passionate about providing the highest quality of care and education Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills A GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English. First Aid, Safeguarding, and DBS (enhanced) - Required (or willingness to obtain)
