Nursery Manager - The Alphabet House Nursery



The Alphabet House Nursery is seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Manager to lead the overall operations of the nursery and drive excellence in childcare, education, and staff development. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the nursery in line with company values, policies, and procedures. Ensure the nursery meets and exceeds all regulatory requirements, including those set out by Ofsted and the EYFS framework. Provide strong leadership and support to the nursery team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous professional development. Promote a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children are supported to thrive, learn, and develop. Effectively manage nursery budgets, occupancy, staffing, and resources to ensure financial sustainability. Maintain strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external agencies, ensuring open and effective communication at all times. Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching, learning, and care through regular audits, observations, and staff supervisions. Lead on safeguarding practices and act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the setting. Implement curriculum planning and assessment to support children's learning journeys and school readiness. Drive improvements and innovation in line with nursery improvement plans and quality standards.

Essential Requirements:



Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent (Level 5 or above desirable). Proven experience in a leadership role within an early years setting. Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to high standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 36,000.00-40,000.00 per year
