Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a deep understanding of early childhood education. This role requires a nurturing individual who can create a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children while effectively managing staff and communicating with parents.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the nursery team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Develop and implement educational programmes that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of safety and care. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Oversee daily operations, including staff scheduling, budgeting, and resource management. Conduct regular assessments of children's development and adapt programmes as necessary to meet their needs. Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for children to learn and play. Organise activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and learning through play.

Qualifications

Proven experience in management or leadership roles within a nursery or childcare setting. Strong background in early childhood education with relevant qualifications preferred. Experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting children or resources as needed. A nurturing attitude with a passion for fostering children's development through engaging activities. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
