We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our nursery team and ensure a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a solid background in early childhood education. This role is pivotal in shaping the development of young children while supporting staff and engaging with parents.
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in childcare.
Lead, mentor, and support nursery staff to foster a positive team environment.
Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's learning and development.
Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns.
Manage budgets, resources, and supplies efficiently to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
Conduct regular assessments of children's development and implement strategies for improvement where necessary.
Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors.
Organise training sessions for staff to enhance their skills in childcare and early childhood education.
Experience
Proven experience in a managerial role within a nursery or similar childcare setting is essential.
Strong background in early childhood education with relevant qualifications.
Experience working directly with children, demonstrating an understanding of their needs and developmental milestones.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with staff, parents, and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving common goals.
A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation as needed for nursery activities or outings.
