Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience in managing a team. This role requires excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as a genuine love for working with children. The Nursery Manager will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development of young children.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care and education. Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that meet the needs of children aged 0-5 years. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding regulations. Foster positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and the local community. Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and maintain accurate records. Manage daily operations, including staff scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Promote effective communication within the team and with parents to enhance children's learning experiences. Organise training and professional development opportunities for staff members.

Requirements

Proven management experience in a nursery or childcare setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 3 or equivalent). Experience working with children in a nursery environment is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Ability to drive is preferred for transporting children or resources as needed. A commitment to creating an inclusive environment that supports the diverse needs of all children.
