Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a genuine love for working with children. This role requires a commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for young learners. The Nursery Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all staff members adhere to best practices in childcare and early childhood education.

Duties

Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, fostering a positive work environment. Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's development. Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of nursery staff. Ensure that all nursery policies and procedures are followed consistently by staff members. Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure the smooth running of the nursery. Conduct regular assessments of children's development and maintain accurate records.

Skills

Proven management experience in a childcare or nursery setting. Strong leadership abilities to inspire and motivate staff members. Experience working with children, demonstrating a deep understanding of their needs. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Ability to drive, facilitating transportation as needed for nursery activities or outings. A nurturing attitude towards children, combined with patience and creativity in engaging them in learning activities.
