Job Title: Nursery Manager Location: Blue Kangaroo Happy Nursery, 34 Meikle Road, Glasgow, G53 5JD Scotland Salary: Competitive package (40,000 - 45,000 per annum, depending on experience) Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week) Start Date: 14/08/2025 or to be agreed

About the Role:

As our new Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for leading our team of dedicated early years practitioners in providing high-quality care and education to our children. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that our nursery delivers exceptional outcomes for children, meeting and exceeding national standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

Leading and managing the nursery team, including staff recruitment, training, and performance management Developing and implementing nursery policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Ensuring the nursery is maintained to a high standard, including health and safety, hygiene, and cleanliness Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and other stakeholders Monitoring and evaluating the quality of provision, making recommendations for improvement Managing budgets and resources effectively

Requirements:

Candidates are required to hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education or Childcare, or other relevant childcare qualification equivalent to SCQF level 9. Proven experience as a Nursery Manager in an early years setting Strong leadership and management skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent knowledge of the Early Years Curriculum (National Care Standards) and current best practice in early years education Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage conflict resolution Valid PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme membership
