What You'll Be Doing
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership, quality and day-to-day running of Mulberry Roots Nursery. Your role will include:
Team Leadership
: Guide and inspire our team of 18 practitioners, creating a culture of collaboration, positivity and professional pride.
Quality Assurance
: Maintain outstanding standards of care and education in line with EYFS 2025, safeguarding requirements and Ofsted expectations.
Operational Management
: Take charge of staff rotas, budgets and nursery resources to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Family Engagement
: Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and carers, ensuring clear communication and a family-centred approach.
Technology in Practice
: Use the Famly app for streamlined administration, parent communication and child development tracking.
Continuous Development
: Proactively attend training and professional development, including local authority courses, alongside the deputy and director.
Staff Wellbeing & Culture
: Foster a positive and supportive environment where staff feel valued, motivated and able to thrive.
Occupancy Growth
: Promote the nursery in the local community and play a proactive role in maintaining strong occupancy levels.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking an ambitious and highly skilled professional with a proven record of success in nursery management. To be considered, you must have:
Extensive Experience
: At least 5 years as a Nursery Manager, ideally in a setting of 50+ places.
Qualifications
: Ideally a Level 6 qualification in Early Years, though strong Level 3 candidates with substantial leadership experience will be considered.
Proven Track Record
: Demonstrated success in achieving positive Ofsted outcomes, sustaining high occupancy levels, and building stable, motivated teams.
Forward-Thinking Approach
: An enthusiasm for new developments in early years education and the ability to embed innovation while keeping quality at the centre.
