Key Responsibilities
Lead, inspire, and develop a team of early years professionals to deliver outstanding care and education
Ensure full compliance with the EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and all relevant legislation
Champion safeguarding and welfare, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for every child
Oversee day-to-day operations, including budgets, staffing, and resource management
Maintain accurate records and ensure readiness for inspections
Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external agencies
Identify staff training needs, lead appraisals, and support career progression
Promote a positive, collaborative, and supportive workplace culture
What We're Looking For
Minimum full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher)
Designated Safeguarding Lead certification and Safer Recruitment training
At least 2 years' recent experience in a Nursery/Preschool Deputy Manager role
Strong working knowledge of the Early Years Inspection Framework
Excellent understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and hygiene standards
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
Strong organisational, planning, IT, and communication skills
