Job Summary



To be accountable for the aims and objectives of the nursery and the organisation of a high-quality setting, with strong commercial and people focus to ensure the nursery occupancy and improvement plan targets and measures are achieved.

The day-to-day management of the nursery including quality improvement, Early years funding and administration whilst adhering to the policies and procedures of Tick Tock All Stars, ensuring compliance with all legislation.

Supervision of and support to the team members within the nursery thereby implementing high standards of quality practices.

To ensure high standards of childcare and education including monitoring and reviewing the provision at all times.

To have a strategic overview of the quality of early years provision and ensure contribution from parents and colleagues to the self evaluation and development plans to improve practice in the nursery including providing a safe, caring environment to enable the emotional, social and educational development of children, through individual attention and group activities.

To lead and be accountable for practice across the Early Years Foundation.

Occasionally situations may arise that require the post holder to perform other duties or tasks, and in other settings, as may be reasonably requested by Tick Tock All Stars

Key Responsibilities



As Child Protection Co-ordinator for the nursery, have a sound knowledge of safeguarding issues and be able to confidently identify signs of possible abuse or neglect and to support colleagues to respond and report all concerns in a timely and appropriate way.

Provide strong leadership within the nursery, taking responsibility to ensure the requirements set out in the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage are met.

Have a strategic overview of the provision for planning and operation of the programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children within the nursery.

To manage the nursery grant allocations process funding) by accurately recording eligibility, encouraging parents to update eligibility codes and completing monthly headcounts and estimation forms.

Audit key children's record keeping and learning journeys through and ensure these are shared with parents, carers and other key adults in the child's life. Audit the CRM input of all children in the nursery and provide feedback and support to team members as appropriate.

To ensure effective staff deployment and ratios are met, being flexible on shift patterns to ensure children's safety at all times. Take personal responsibility to act if staff deployment falls below required levels.

Ensure co-ordination of communication with parents/carers, key persons and the Nursery Management team.

To have a strategic overview of the safety, security, hygiene meal times and cleanliness, maintaining high standards at all times and be responsible for the health and safety standards appropriate for the needs of young children.

To supervise the team members, providing effective support and communication and overseeing the support to all practitioners, students and volunteers by line managers to enhance their learning, development and practice.

Being responsible for all administrative duties associated with the management of the facility e.g. maintaining records on the children and their families including registrations and place allocations, ordering resources, personnel records and maintaining any records required, ensuring that the office is always kept tidy and in an organised manner to ensure accuracy and efficiency of record keeping.

Qualifications



Proven experience in childcare and nursery management Strong background in early childhood education Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities Ability to work effectively with children and their families Proficient in English; driving skills are a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 31,000.00-35,000.00 per year
