Are you a passionate leader with a background in Early Years education and management? You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Nursery. Must have experience in Nursery Leadership and we will consider candidates ready to take on their first lead position.
Minimum Level 3 childcare and education qualifications or equivalent is essential.
Full time, all year round
22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage staffing, induction, training, and development to ensure the highest standards of care.
Oversee systems for accurate reporting, monitoring, and assessment of nursery activities.
Manage occupancy levels and financial budgets to meet targets and ensure smooth operations.
Ensure the accuracy and consistency of the Famly Childcare app.
Have a thrive in self development to keep knowledge updated with changes of the EYFS, Ofsted and Borough expectations.
Ensure all rooms comply with staff ratios and staffing deployment regulations.
Take full responsibility for safeguarding and child protection to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
Lead the delivery of the EYFS curriculum and ensure it is effectively implemented across all age groups.
Liaise with external professionals when necessary to support the development and needs of children.
Be highly knowledgeable with SEND and have a passion in ensuring equality and diversity in implemented.
Work closely with the SENDCo to support children with additional needs.
Ensure the nursery follows a robust and safe recruitment process.
Manage weekly staff rotas and attendance registers for both staff and children.
Uphold and enforce the nursery's policies and procedures, ensuring a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
Monitor and promote the physical health and well-being of all children in the nursery.
Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working our nurseries. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process.
