We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, providing a safe and stimulating environment that promotes their development and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills within a nurturing setting, supporting children's growth from infancy through early childhood.
Duties
Plan and implement engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in the nursery
Supervise and support children during play, learning, and mealtime routines
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
Collaborate with colleagues to organise daily schedules and educational programmes
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
Manage classroom resources efficiently and keep the environment clean and organised
Assist in training new staff members, sharing best practices in childcare and early childhood education
Drive nursery vehicles when required for outings or transportation needs
Skills
Proven experience with children, ideally within a nursery or childcare setting
Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee daily operations and guide junior staff
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and team members
Organised with good time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively
Driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending off-site activities
Compassionate, patient, and attentive to individual children's needs
