Job Description

To assist the Room Leader and team in providing high quality child care and planned activities appropriate to the age and stage of development of the children. To maintain a safe, secure and caring environment. Early Years staff teaches all areas of the foundation stage, which is focused on helping children to achieve early learning goals. Work carried out includes:
Duties:
1. To assist the nursery team in providing a friendly, caring and relaxing environment in order to encourage and develop children in our care.
2. To ensure all daily routines are adhered to.
3. To plan, organise and carry out planned activities following the Early years foundation stage curriculum.
4. To settle in new children and provide on-going support, under a key worker system, liaising with parents and maintaining good communications.
5. To maintain children's records and carry out assessments.
6. To assist in maintaining a safe, clean and tidy base room.
7. Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented in the Nursery.
8. To communicate with parents and other visitors in a calm, friendly and efficient manner.
9. Observing, assessing and recording each child's progress.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
