We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a nurturing environment. This role requires strong management and leadership skills, along with a genuine passion for working with young children. The Nursery Nurse will play a vital part in fostering a safe, engaging, and educational atmosphere that promotes children's development and well-being.
Responsibilities
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times within the nursery environment
Provide personalised care and attention to meet individual children's needs
Manage daily routines including feeding, nappy changing, and rest periods
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and behaviour
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and daily activities
Lead and support junior staff members, demonstrating strong management and leadership skills
Organise educational resources and create stimulating learning environments
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Assist with organising outings or trips, including driving when necessary
Qualifications
Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
Strong management and leadership capabilities to oversee nursery operations effectively
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred
Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external activities
