We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role requires strong management and leadership skills, along with a genuine passion for child development. The Nursery Nurse will play a vital part in supporting children's learning and wellbeing, ensuring they thrive both socially and academically.
Duties
Supervise and care for children in the nursery setting, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
Support children's emotional needs and encourage social interaction
Assist with organising daily routines, including meal times, naps, and play sessions
Lead by example in promoting good behaviour and manners
Manage nursery resources efficiently and ensure the environment remains clean and organised
Contribute to the overall management of the nursery, including staff supervision when required
Drive nursery vehicles for outings or transportation needs, subject to holding a valid driving licence
Skills
Proven experience with children, ideally within a nursery or early childhood setting
Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee daily operations effectively
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage children and liaise confidently with parents and colleagues
Knowledge of childcare practices, early childhood education principles, and child development stages
Ability to organise activities that stimulate learning and development
Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in nurturing young children's growth
Good organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or equipment when necessary
