About the Role

Are you playful, warm, and ready to have fun all day? Rainbow Nursery and Daisy Pre-school in Totnes are looking for a

Play Buddy

to join our friendly Early Years team.

This is a hands-on role supporting children aged 3 months to 4 years through creative play, care routines, and daily adventures. You'll sing songs, get messy, build towers, go on nature walks, and even take phone calls from bananas. It's a joyful, active job where every day is different.

No formal childcare qualifications required

- just energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine love of working with children. Training and mentorship will be provided.

What You'll Do

Engage in fun, open-ended play with babies and young children Support care routines like meals, handwashing, and toileting Help keep play areas safe, tidy, and welcoming Work closely with a supportive and passionate team Learn from experienced Early Years professionals

What We're Looking For

A warm, friendly personality and a playful spirit A genuine interest in working with children Good communication and teamwork skills Willingness to learn and take direction GCSEs (or equivalent) required Level 2/3 Early Years qualification is welcome but

not essential

First Aid or child development training is a bonus
