We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development and learning of children in our nursery setting. As an Early Years Educator, you will play a crucial role in shaping the early experiences of children, fostering their growth, and supporting their individual needs. We are looking for an afternoon practitioner - working from 1pm/2pm until 6pm.
Responsibilities
Manage daily activities and routines within the nursery, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all children.
Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote learning through play.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's development.
Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for further development.
Drive initiatives that encourage creativity, curiosity, and exploration among children.
Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in early childhood education and providing guidance to less experienced staff members.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements within the nursery setting.
Skills
Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage diverse groups of children effectively while maintaining a positive atmosphere.
