Job Description

We are Bexley Forest Preschool set in the grounds of Albany Park Baptist Church, Bexley. We are a friendly preschool and have the hustle and bustle of a preschool, but try to work towards the values of bush craft and forest school. We regularly have fires, and cooking from the fire, as well as a Kelly Kettle. Our forest school activities include lots of bug hunts, making bird feeders, and wood work to name a few of the forest school activities.

We are a small team and offer a rich holistic curriculum learning through nature and play to our children that are 2-5 years olds, as well as a high standard of physical and emotional care. We are an outside learning environment, however we use a large church hall in colder months if needed. If you seriously enjoy the outdoors (as we are not classroom based) and have a serious interest in nature and the environment and can offer a unique skill to our Preschool, we would like to hear from you. We are wanting to appoint an enthusiastic full time, creative and outdoor loving Preschool practitioner with a Level 3 in Early Years.

The position:

We are looking for someone who can work full time between 35- 40 hours a week and become part of a friendly team. Who can contribute new ideas and has enthusiasm. The appointed person should be hard working, hands on creative and have a friendly attitude.

Must haves:

. To hold LEVEL 3 in Early Years qualification.

. To have an up to date Pediatric first aid certificate

. To have a sense of humour and a jolly nature

. To be on the DBS update system.

We are looking for someone 5 days a week. We are open from 8am - 6pm ( Tuesdays we shut at 4pm). The prospective practitioner will be required be able to do:

Mondays: 8am - 4pm Tuesdays 8am - 4pm. Wednesdays 8am- 6pm Thursdays 8am - 6pm. Fridays 8am-6pm .

Salary: 13 per hour

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.00-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
