Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and possess the skills necessary to create a nurturing and stimulating environment. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and wellbeing of children in our care, ensuring their safety and happiness while promoting early childhood education.

Duties

Provide high-quality childcare in a safe and engaging nursery environment. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships. Manage daily activities, including playtime, meals, and rest periods, ensuring that each child's individual needs are met. Implement early childhood education programmes that promote learning through play. Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress and sharing insights with parents. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery setting to ensure a hygienic space for children. Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive atmosphere that supports diversity and equality. Drive initiatives that encourage leadership among staff and promote professional development within the nursery.

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively engage with children and parents alike. Proven ability to manage groups of children while maintaining a calm and positive environment. Leadership experience is an advantage, as you may be required to guide less experienced staff members.
