Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education to young children.

Duties

Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote the development of children aged 0-5 years. Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Supervise and support children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment focused on the best outcomes for children. Maintain accurate records of children's development and progress in line with regulatory requirements. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting. Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is desirable. Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English. Ability to drive is an advantage for transporting children when necessary. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development through play-based learning. Knowledge of childcare regulations and best practices is beneficial.
